Fliplight is run by Christfort Studio (CVR 46820886), Ved Skoven 57, 2. 4., 5800 Nyborg, Denmark. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Questions go to [email protected].
The short version
- Free flipbooks, the PDF you upload and your IP address are deleted after 24 hours.
- No cookies, no analytics, no advertising trackers.
- Everything is stored on servers in the EU.
PDFs you upload
When you convert a PDF, we store the file and the page images and text we make from it, so we can show the flipbook. On the free plan the flipbook is a preview that is deleted, together with the PDF, 24 hours after upload. Free previews are marked so search engines don't index them. Anyone with the link can open a preview while it exists.
We only use your file to make and show the flipbook. We don't read it for any other purpose, sell it or use it to train anything.
Your IP address
We store the IP address an upload came from, to limit how many conversions one network can start and to stop abuse. It is deleted with the preview after 24 hours. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service available and safe (GDPR article 6(1)(f)).
Bot protection
When you upload, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person. Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details for this, as described in Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum. Turnstile only loads when you choose a file.
If you write to us, we keep the email to answer it and for as long as it is needed for that conversation.
Who processes data for us
- Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany: the servers that store and convert your files.
- Cloudflare, Inc.: network delivery, security and bot protection. Cloudflare may process data outside the EU under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
- Google (Gmail): our email inbox.
Cookies and storage
Fliplight sets no cookies. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete personal data about you, object to how we use it, or ask us to limit it. Write to [email protected]. If you think we handle your data wrongly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency, Datatilsynet.
Changes
When paid plans open, this page will describe the account data they need. We'll update the date at the top whenever this page changes.
